The Ju 88 was the most versatile German combat plane in the 2nd World War. She served as a dive bomber, fighter (night fighter) torpedo bomber and minelayer and for reconnaissance. With the Ju88A-1 series production in September 1939 was started. The first deployments of the Ju 88 began with the occupation of Norway, from August followed intensified attacks on the British mainland.
