Dragon 1/35 Flakpanzer IV (3cm) Kugelblitz # 6889
The Flakpanzer IV "Kugelblitz" was a German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun developed during World War II.
It was based on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank, one of the most widely used German tanks of the war.
The "Kugelblitz," which translates to "ball lightning" in English, was armed with twin 3cm MK 103 Flak guns mounted in a fully enclosed turret, providing it with effective firepower against enemy aircraft.
Its enclosed turret design offered better crew protection compared to earlier open-topped anti-aircraft vehicles.
However, due to the increasingly dire situation of Nazi Germany in the later stages of the war, only a handful of prototypes were completed, and the Kugelblitz never saw active service.
Despite its limited production and deployment, the Flakpanzer IV Kugelblitz remains an intriguing example of German engineering during the final phases of World War II.
